I ve been reading about it in the Texas Gardening forum and now I m thinking that I should take it back
Has anyone ever had any success with growing it in zone 7b l north Dallas? If so does it really get as big in zone 7b as it does in Houston or San Antonio Aug 12 2014 Esperanzagets rave reviews in Dave s Garden s Plantfiles
Growers say it s a carefree no pest heat loving dependably blooming viny bush. Hardy for zones 8 and up this bush is such a crowd pleaser that some zone 7 gardeners say they ll try to overwinter it
I have a hot south facing spot in my yard where I might try it too Jul 5 2006 btw I took the softwood parts from theEsperanzafor rooting
A few of the trimmed branches were a bit wilted before I even considered trying to root them so I got them in water asap and then selected the better looking ones and only took the soft tips from the ends of the branches Dec 23 2003 A thread in the PlantFiles Pictures forum titled SunriseEsperanza Esperanza Sunrise Sunrise Yellow Bells Sunrise Tecoma h Jun 24 2014 Those posts lists appear to be identical to each other I didn t see the plant I m asking about on it them Tecoma stans AKA Yellow Bells Esperanza etc
Just a mention of Koelreuteria paniculata AKA Golden Rain Tree. which is not the same plant by a long stretch. Thanks for trying to help though Welcome to the famous Dave s Garden website
